Prince William was reported to have been attracted to Kate Middleton's transparent gown at a fashion show. They started dating in 2003. In their second year in St. Andrews, Middleton and Prince William were roommates together with two other students. At this time, Kate Middleton began to endure harassment from journalists. It led to a myriad of people who threatened legal lawsuits against Kate Middleton, as well the family members who were her lawyer. In 2007, Kate and William had a breakup due to reasons that are not clear. The couple was said to have split up, but rumors circulated that they came back together shortly afterwards.
