Bellamy Young

Young started her career in the field of acting the theater. As Mary in The Life's initial ensemble, she made her Broadway premiere in the role of Mary on Broadway in 1997. She also performed Off-Broadway, in Stephen Sondheim's Merryly We Rolled Along (1994) along with as the role of Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995 until 1996). [3][10] In 1995, she made her television debut as a regular in The NBC daytime soap show Another World as Dr. Courtney Evans. Between 1997 and 1998,, she appeared as a guest on Law & Order, playing two parts. In 1999, she made a film debut with a small role in the crime drama Black and White and later co-starred in several independent films. She began guest-starring in television comedies and dramas from the beginning of 2000. These comprised The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Young was a part of more than thirty TV shows from the years 2000 to 2011. Young was among the regular actors in Peacemakers the USA Network television series that aired in 2003. After nine episodes, the show concluded after one season. She was a recurring character on the Lifetime show For the People, a crime drama. Atty. Agnes Hunt on NBC drama American Dreams in 2003 as Diane Shaw, Dr. Grace Miller on NBC Scrubs in 2004 as Monica West, Assistant State Attorney Monica West in CBS CSI: Miami between 2005 and 2006, and Ellen Darling on ABC soap Dirty Sexy Money in 2008-2009 as the eldest son-in-law in the Darling Family.
